Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Laura developed a love for art from an early age. Inspired by her artist mother, she pursued careers in the arts. After attending Ontario College of Art & Design (OCADU) earning a diploma in Graphic Design she worked several years as a package designer. Years later she began painting full-time at her home studio in the beaches area of the Toronto. Her paintings are inspired by the natural world, primary flowers. She looks a little closer than most to study the shapes and forms of petals and landscapes. Her style is painterly realism, a mixture of soft, blended brushstrokes and carefully placed tightened edges. Her florals are vivid, bold, yet delicate and full of joy!
